GPS Equipment Tracking Interface
Using Qualcomm’s GlobalTRACS System, the Alert EasyPro Equipment Tracking Interface is designed to maximize control over your assets. Global positioning satellite (GPS) technology enables Alert EasyPro to know where your equipment is located and how much it is being used.
When equipment goes out, “ruggedized” GPS hardware, installed on your rental equipment, automatically interacts with the Alert EasyPro Equipment Tracking Interface setting a “geo fence” (allowable perimeter for the item) and reports the current meter reading. The Alert EasyPro rental contract and fixed asset files are updated automatically.
Based on each unit’s reporting frequency, Alert EasyPro is automatically updated with current location and meter usage. This data is immediately available for Alert EasyPro billing, servicing, and reporting while maintaining a detailed meter history. When the customer calls in for pickup, the date and time of the call are logged into Alert EasyPro. The meter is instantly read and an off-rent number is provided to the customer.

The Alert EasyPro contract check-in process warns if there is a variation in meter reading from the time the item has been logged off-rent to determine if additional charges apply.
