 Project #7 - Add Barcodes to Sales Items

Let's make the Counter even more productive by adding barcodes to our sales items! Any USB barcode reader should work (we don't recommend a wireless one), making adding sales items to a ticket even easier.

Save time and, more importantly, improve accuracy with our barcode lookup software! You'll be sure to select the correct spark plug, tablecloth, filter, or candle from now on.

Add a Barcode Lookup to Sales Items from the Sales Item Screen

Select F4 Common NameField

  •     Select F5 to add a newline
  •     Press Enter to accept the SequenceNumber
  •     Scan in the barcode (or enter the barcodenumber)
  •     In the'T'column,enter the value 'B' to indicate that this is a barcode value

Tip: If one item has more than one barcode associated with it (for example, if you purchase it from more than one vendor and they each have their own barcode) you can add a barcode line for each barcodenumber! As always, let us know if you need a hand at support@alertms.com.

Version 19 News!

Attention Party Stores!!!

We have a patch for v.19 that will allow stores using AM/PM/ANY to sort by ANY first!
Ask for patch 15049_19. This is not a default for v.19, so be sure to ask for this when you upgrade.

This Week's Featured Enhancement

Our developers have added a  parameter to set the default Ticket Type for new tickets. So now you can go to Codes & Setup and select either  Bid, Reservation, or Contract and every ticket will now start how you've indicated. (StoreParameters - > Counter 3)
